Lifelong community-builder, Nancy Perlman empowers individuals and organizations to communicate, collaborate and shine. She has provided marketing and business development services for clients such as Mattel, Qualcomm, MTV, Nextel, Nickelodeon, Paramount, Universal Pictures, Sony, Electronic Arts, The Indy Racing League, and the LA Derby Dolls. She has also headed the production of numerous digital products, including web sites, virtual worlds, online live events and video games. Nancy was previously a Goldhirsh Fellow with Los Angeles Mayor Garcetti’s office, focusing on gender equity, technology, and innovation. While working in the Mayor’s office, she launched three initiatives to support gender equity:
Nancy is a member of the Los Angeles City Commission on the Status of Women, a member of Mayor Garcetti’s Tech Council and is an advisor to the Women Founders Network and multiple female-led start-ups. Nancy began her career in television, developing primetime programming with studios such as Sony and Spelling Entertainment. She graduated with a BA in Communications from The University of Michigan.
A senior executive and seasoned venture strategist and leader with over twenty years experience building high growth and adaptive learning organizations in several new technology segments. As a corporate development leader, consultant, venture capital investor and board member. Cheryl is a part of the co-founding group building our Sacramento programs and helping to vision and facilitate FourthWave growth moving forward as our senior-most advisor on capital. Her engagement has brought a strong emphasis of the conscious leadership vision.
Cheryl is active as an operations and board member in a handful of technology startups– and Managing Director of Beninga Advisors an advisory firm. She is a leader focused on building rapid learning teams and cultures. She also currently serves as Board Member and CFO to Fantag, a Sacramento-based technology start-up.
Cheryl has worked with leading technology investors including GE and Intel Capital on all stages of venture investing. She has been involved at the board and operation level at all venture stages A round to IPO. Cheryl has been lucky to work with many great startup teams having successful IPO and acquisition exits. Her technology sector experience includes energy efficiency, consumer mobile software, enterprise software and semiconductors. A disruptive technology and business model strategist and serial entrepreneur, Tracy is helping to found FourthWave and start our Sacramento programs. She also currently serves as CFO for a building materials company and CEO/co-founder of Sofiia AI, Inc., advancing new AI to deliver human behavior insights that can effect behavior change to improve workforce performance, improve personal relationships, and increase human awareness and consciousness.
Tracy’s 35 years of public and private sector experience includes local government and serving as an appointee under two California Governors with infrastructure and policy expertise emphasis in women’s leadership development, clean technology, public finance, waste management, energy supply, economic development, and health.

A creative designer and community and platform developer, Melanie focuses on artistic expression, community leadership, female entrepreneurship, and urban food system growth. She is a driving force behind our community building in Sacramento and other cities as we grow.
Melanie works as a creative consultant and service designer on projects that inspire her and are aligned with her creating a better Earth and better communities in that world value system. She is passionate about the intersection of innovation, and technology, art, entrepreneurship, emerging markets and international collaboration.
Melanie has an Associate’s degree and a BA from CSUS and Oxford Oxford Brookes University focused on research in Creativity and Social Psychology, and has spent the last decade collaborating on community focused projects. She is currently bridging her love of design and improvisation in ‘collaborative platform development for social impact’ including volunteer work with the North American Food System Network.
